Yes, the lock mechanism works smoothly but I originally had a problem with the locking system intermittently not locking the drivers door. Once I turned off the the automatic locking in the convenience group (The one that automatically locks the doors over 7 miles per hour) I was able to lock my drivers door via remote with no problems. My best guess is that when you lock the car it turns off the internal lights, so therefore the central locking and interior light circuits are probably linked - the central convenience unit.
